Avapuri Elephanta Lake Turtuk Village Ross & Smith Islands
Forests are the main attraction in Assam and Abhayapuri is one of them. It is famous for Kaya Kujia Bird Sanctuary, Garo Tribal Village, Chakrashila Wildlife Sanctuary, Kakoijana Reserve Forest. The Golden Langoor, a rarest species of its type can be seen here. Hornbills and other variety of birds attracts tourists the most. Elephant lake is one of the main attraction of Silk Route in East Sikkim. Our driver took us ahead to the Baba bunker – the small memorial temple to Baba Harbhajan Singh with signboards warning – you are being observed by the Chinese army! We headed on further up till the Elephant lake – with our jeep driver offering a “prize for guessing what the shape is”… Turtuk is a picturesque border village in Nubra Valley in Leh. Travelling along the banks of the Pangong Lake right up to the Man and Merak villages, Bactrian camel safari in Nubra Valley, experiencing hot sulphur springs of Panamik, visiting royal house of Yabgo dynasty &Ruin palace of Pun Khar, Bird-eye view of K2 peak are few of tourist attractions. Ross and Smith Island (Smith and Ross) are about 25 minutes by boat from Diglipur in North Andaman Islands (Andaman & Nicobar). Though these are commonly referred to as twin islands, they are actually a single island sperated by a sandy stretch which makes it appear like two seperate islands.
Avapuri Tajpur Turtuk Village Ross & Smith Islands
Located in the Darjeeling district, towards the western side of the Kalimpong hills, its a 60 kms drive from SIliguri. Baramangwa village is having terraced farms and too many orange orchards. One can have spectacular views of the Sikkim and Kalimpong hills as well as a bird’s eye view of Teesta River. While staying here you can enjoy trekking, rock climbing and rafting in the waters of Teesta. Tajpur is located in Purba Medinipur, West Bengal, on the shore of Bay of Bengal. Tajpur is set between Mandarmani and Shankarpur. As a tourist attraction, it is relatively new as there are fewer hotels compared to Digha and Mandarmani. The beach is clean and home to numerous red crabs. Apart from the sea it offers many water sports throughout the year. Langzha is situated in the Spiti district of Himachal Pradesh. It takes a few hours of journey from Kaza to reach Langzha. This place is not often visited by the tourists because of its remote location. The village consists of a few families, a monastery and a huge statue of Buddha against snow clad peaks. It adds to the unique geography, climate and landscape of Spiti. Popularly known as Madhuri Lake, it is located 35 kms away from Tawang near the China Border. The drive to Sangestser Lake is full of excitement and thrill and one can still see the war bunkers that had been used during the Chineses aggression in 1962. On the way one more famous lake named PTSO can be seen. A circle around the lake will take nearly half a day.
